Marker Words (Feedback):
Yes!: “You did great! You can leave your position to get your reward” (most often the reward is available to the dog by the person who has said “Yes!”).
Good: “Good job, keep it up!” If a reward is given it is given to the dog in their position. Used to build duration in commands.
Ahah: “Nope, made a different decision.'“ To let your dog know they made a mistake, can be used in any situation they may have made a mistake, most often followed up with pressure (leash, ecollar, spatial) and may be followed up with direction of what you would rather the dog be doing.
Cue Words (Commands):
Down: Lay down, chest and elbows to the ground.
Sit: Butt to the ground!
Go to bed: All four feet on the bed (raised cot).
Here: Both our recall cue as well as our heel cue when working on leash
Lets go: "Move with me."
Out: Drop it/Move away. Used most commonly with tug or to prevent resource guarding behaviors.
