Your dog needs more of it.
Your dog should have AT LEAST 45 minutes of real exercise a day, and a couple walks around the block don’t cut it for 95% of dogs. Most dogs get accustomed to the treadmill, running by the e-bikes, and gaining access to off leash freedom while they are here to aid in their freedom and ability to get more true exercise once they return home to you.
While occasionally a lickimat, frozen kong, or other indoor food based enrichment toy could substitute for a walk or play session on an extra busy day, these options do not cut it regularly. Chances are your dog was originally bred to do some sort of work, chasing cows, chasing bad guys, retrieving birds, treeing raccoons. How are you going to expect them to just go on a neighborhood walk for 20 minutes and NOT be bouncing off the walls or incapable of thinking clearly. Get them exercised!
